I know I have an “About” page and all, but does anyone really read those things? (Kudos to you, though, if you do!)
My name is Kal, and I’ve been studying astrology basically since I could read. I pretty much lived in that 110/130 section of the library (paranormal & metaphysical stuff in the Dewey Decimal System) as a kid. Numerology, shamanism, psychic phenomena, past lives, tarot… you name it, I was into it.
But astrology has always been my first love, and really, a language and system I use to interpret the world around me. I’ve been blessed to have many friends who are into astrology (and sometimes other “woo-woo” things lol) and also a fairly open-minded, tolerant family. So I’ve been lucky in that way for sure. It’s much easier to nurture off-beat interests when your parents aren’t trashing all your books and your friends aren’t shunning you for being weird. Thanks, guys!! <3
My intent for this blog is to hopefully create an accepting community of fellow Astrophiles to learn, discuss, and socialize. I’ve recently gotten into bullet journaling so there may be some crossover with astrology-related bujo stuff, too. And then there’s the art…
So a fairly eclectic mix of astrology-related stuff. As I get my feet wet here at the Astrology Diaries, I hope you’ll comment and email and let me know what’s awesome and what’s not and what you wish I’d touch on more.
Seriously, feel free to make requests!
And so, in conclusion, I’ll share my chart below in the spirit of openness and astro-sharing. In case you’re wondering, I use the whole sign house system which originated in Hellenistic times. (Many modern astrologers and astrology students use Placidus or Koch, which are quadrant house systems.) A subject for an upcoming post because it’s really quite complex. Have a great week!
